Daniel M. Hill
Dan joined the firm in September 2016. Prior to joining McCoy Leavitt Laskey, Dan was general counsel of the New Mexico Public Education Department. There he handled a number of high profile lawsuits and administrative appeals. He now handles fire and explosion related matters around the country. In 2017, he completed the National Fire Investigation Training Program at Eastern Kentucky University. Dan is a member of the DRI Product Liability Steering Committee and is the Vice-Chair of the DRI Product Liability Young Lawyers Committee. He is a 2010 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Law, and a 2005 graduate of the University of Arizona (magna cum luade). Prior to becoming a lawyer Dan was a Teach For America Corps Member, teaching middle school on the Southside of Chicago. He currently serves as a board member for the New Mexico International School Foundation and for the New Mexico Center for School Leadership. He is admitted to practice in New Mexico.
