Sean D. Magenis
Sean Magenis represents clients in all aspects of civil litigation as well as before state and federal administrative agencies. Focusing on the defense of fire and explosion claims, his representative experience includes defense of a multinational chemical supply company in connection with an industrial facility explosion (Tokio Marine, et al. v. Eka Chemicals, Inc., et al.); coordination of the defense of over 100 personal injury claims relating to an allegedly defective consumer product (In re Fuel Barons, Inc.); and defense of a product manufacturer in connection with a warehouse fire (Tom’s of Maine v. Acme-Hardesty Co., et al.). Running the gauntlet between resolving disputes through settlement or in the courtroom, he has conducted both jury and non-jury trials. He brings his experience in litigation involving diverse fields of law, including premises liability, product liability defense, and employment law, to bear on behalf of individuals and organizations. Whether working on behalf of plaintiffs in advance of a significant civil suit exposing FBI misconduct, (Limone, et al. v. U.S., 815 F.Supp.2d 393(D.Mass. 2011.), or representing parties in commercial disputes, Sean consistently provides his clients with effective and responsive advocacy.
