Brandon is a Principal at McCoy Leavitt Laskey LLC's Albuquerque office. He joined the firm as an attorney in October 2017 after clerking with the firm intermittently beginning in 2015. During law school, Brandon served as Executive Editor of the Journal of the Legal Profession, was a member of the Campbell Moot Court Board, and served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association. In 2018, he completed the National Fire Investigation Training Program at Eastern Kentucky University. Brandon is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute, Propane Gas Defense Association, Natural Gas Claims Litigation Association, American Gas Association, Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, and ASTM Committee E58 on Forensic Engineering.

Brandon has been recognized for his professional excellence within the defense bar. He was named Young Lawyer of the Year by the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association in 2021 and has been selected to the Super Lawyers New Mexico Rising Stars list each year since 2023.

Brandon’s practice focuses on the defense of complex, high-exposure litigation involving catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death, products liability, premises liability, construction and industrial accidents, fires and explosions, and matters arising from the oil and gas industry, including claims involving propane and natural gas systems, wellsite and pipeline incidents, and energy-related operations. He regularly represents manufacturers, contractors, transportation companies, and energy-sector clients in technically intensive matters requiring coordination with engineers, fire investigators, and forensic experts. Brandon has experience participating in jury trials in complex litigation and approaches each case with trial readiness, prepared to take matters through trial when necessary.

Brandon lives in Albuquerque with his wife, Casey Meyers, and their two dogs, Hank and Marcy. Outside of his practice, he enjoys golf and travel.
