Brook is a trial lawyer. He focuses his practice on products liability, tort and negligence cases, mostly involving fire and explosions. From Hawaii to New York and Oregon to Georgia, Brook has defended more than 400 fire or explosion cases since he began his law career in 1996. He has become a common sight on the largest fire scenes around the United States due to his critical understanding of fire origin and cause investigations, along with his broad-based knowledge of gas industry standards. In addition, Brook has developed close working relationships with some of the nation’s top fire forensic experts and government authorities due to his reputation as a straight-shooter and his willingness to dig in to seek out the truth at a fire scene. Brook is the managing partner of the firm's Albuquerque, NM office.
Brook has achieved the highest Martindale Hubbell rating (AV) and he is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for his expertise in both Products Liability Litigation and Personal Injury Litigation. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. In addition, he is on the board of directors of the Propane Gas Defense Association and is a voting member of the ASTM E58 Subcommittee on Forensic Engineering. Brook also proudly serves as a goodwill ambassador for the State of New Mexico through the New Mexico Amigos, a state organization overseen by Governor Michelle Lujan.
Brook serves as national counsel for multiple corporations and insurance companies. He is licensed in both New Mexico and Texas, as well as several federal courts. He has also been admitted pro hac vice or handled claims in other states, including New York, Maryland, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Idaho. Brook graduated from Penn State University in 1992 and Case Western Reserve University School of Law, cum laude, in 1996. He and his wife, Sarah, are the proud parents of Ella and Luke, who are both teenagers.
