Jacob E. Kempowski

Jacob E. Kempowski is a partner at the Waukesha office of McCoy Leavitt Laskey LLC. After graduating from Marquette Law School in 2012, Jake spent almost three years working at a boutique personal injury firm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While there, he handled an array of personal injury cases including: motor vehicle accidents, products liability cases, and aviation accidents.

Seeking a broader range of experience, Jake took a position at an Appleton, Wisconsin firm and worked there for almost three years as well. In that position he was able to defend and prosecute a wide array of cases including: motor vehicle accidents, product liability cases, construction cases, real estate disputes, and business disputes. Jake also successfully defended a client at trial from a claim for double damages and attorneys fees. Not only did that trial result in a defense verdict, but Jake’s client was awarded damages and attorney fees.

Since joining McCoy Leavitt Laskey in 2019, Jake has successfully defended fire and explosion claims and lawsuits throughout the nation. Jake prides himself on providing clients with cost-effective, efficient, but aggressive strategies. He has been recognized as a Rising Star in Wisconsin by Super Lawyers seven years in a row and was selected by Best Lawyers as "One to Watch" in 2021-2023.
